"See and be seen" is the motto along the Weser promenade Schlachte from the Osterdeich to the Überseestadt. Cafés, restaurants, beer gardens and the Casino Bremen are popular meeting places in the evening. During the day, ships from the hal över shipping company invite you on round trips. Indulge in culinary delights on the Alexander von Humboldt or dare to go on the Pannekoekship, where you will be served by real pirates. Experience funny comedies on the theatre ship or stay overnight on one of the hotel ships directly on the Weser.

Markets on the waterfront

Every Saturday from April to September the maritime Kajenmarkt with live music, market stalls, wine stalls and fish specialities takes place directly on the Schlachte. At the farmers' market at the Fangturm in the Stephaniviertel, farmers offer their own regional produce every Friday from 10 am - 4 pm. The Schlachte Magic takes place from the end of November.

Strolling along the Weser

There is something for everyone on the promenade along the Weser: on the Neustadt side you can view constellations in the Olbers Planetarium and the DGzRS sea rescue ships. The beautiful promenade directly on the Schlachte is made for a short bike ride or a walk, for example to the young and modern Überseestadt. Trendy restaurants, clubs, shops and theatres have settled here and exude an exclusive charm. And it's good to be by the water anyway.
