Market Square Stage
Across from the Roland statue, Bremen's "parlor" will be filled with dancing, singing, and partying until Sunday – all to rousing beats. The HOEG City Summer Festival officially opens on Friday, and Bremen Eins and Bremen Vier will be bringing plenty of energy to the stage every day with renowned bands and acoustic delicacies.
Touch of Funk
Life should always be a little bit of a dance floor, say Bremen's Touch of Funk. The upbeat septet provides the multi-part soundtrack – in a program that effortlessly blends R&B, pop, rock, soul, and (of course) funk. Whether it's a cool reinterpretation or a charming new discovery, Touch of Funk gets things grooved – on and off stage!
Sinus
Whether at an open-air concert in front of thousands of people, on television in front of millions of viewers, or at a familiar living room concert: When Sinus steps out of the darkness into the spotlight, the moment sparkles. Charming smile, tattoos, snapback. Definitely a rapper, right? But then he suddenly starts singing – raw, ragged, and real – with a voice that gives you goosebumps. And when your mouths are open, he's suddenly rapping. He tells stories that cast shadows and others that glitter. Lo-fi elements and 808s merge with the sounds and styles of the 90s. The result is edgy, modern pop that sticks in your head. A stage show that captivates. Songs that touch you.
John Allen
His distinctive voice is at once brutal and fragile, dark and romantic, rumbling, threatening and conciliatory, so much so that Rolling Stone magazine even drew comparisons to Bruce Springsteen, Nick Cave, and Tom Waits. John Allen is a founding member of the band project The Campfire Camaraderie.
Riku Rajamaa
Riku Rajamaa is the perfect example of how a band consists of more than just its frontman, and how sometimes quieter waters really do run deeper. His songs combine the best of both worlds: a virtuoso, full-blooded musician with extensive stage experience and a genuine guitar nerd who, despite all the praise, has managed to keep both feet on the ground. Just as the most moving concerts aren't necessarily those in sold-out stadiums, the musicians in the front row aren't always the most interesting either. Riku Rajamaa brings us high-quality songs with good energy and a subtle melancholy that only musicians with true empathy can achieve.
KAMA Orchestra
The KAMA Orchestra is currently the bull in the china shop of the German brass scene. The collective creates its very own brass groove from global beats, techno, and other electronic club sounds. With a powerful brass section and a driving rhythm section, this solar-pink, glittering, feel-good machine gets any venue rocking.
Tenski
Tenski is a singer-songwriter with German-Thai roots who has found his musical home in Bremen. His music speaks of the facets of life – authentic, emotional, and with a clear eye for what matters most. His concerts are characterized by touching contrasts: quiet, intimate moments alternate with powerful, rousing passages. Tenski lives his music with heart and dedication. With his pop songs, which combine depth and joie de vivre, he takes his audience on a journey full of emotions and creates moments that will remain in the memory. Tenski stands for music that is not just heard, but felt – honest, intimate, and full of passion.
Shenanygans
Shenanygans present catchy melodies paired with interesting lyrics. Their strong stage chemistry is underscored by the three alternating lead singers, beautiful backing harmonies, and wild rhythms. Influenced by older sounds (The Kinks, The Velvet Underground) as well as current artists (Arctic Monkeys, Rex Orange County), stylistic influences from the past and present merge with timeless energy to create a unique experience.
PAULINKO
Anna Pauline Kohn (vocals) and Lisa-Marie Bruynen (drums) are PAULINKO and they are fed up with guys who want to tell you how it's done. PAULINKO sees itself as the mouthpiece of a generation of post-millennial women who simply live female empowerment and don't give a damn about conventions, take their lives into their own hands and live life the way they see fit. PAULINKO repeatedly cites Nena and the Humpe Sisters as musical references, as well as bands from Germany's first women's wave, such as Silbermond, Juli and Wir sind Helden. Anyone who sees the band live will be knocked out by 2 x 150% energy. This has made PAULINKO the final boss of the dick quota and ensures that festival stages are not just populated by CIS student men and bearded men.
Levent Geiger
Levent Geiger is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with over 10 million followers on social media and over 50 million streams on Spotify. He also opened for the Backstreet Boys and was named an "Artist to Watch" by VEVO.
Flo Mega

His journey has never been easy. Even at school, he found the rigid system challenging and refused to adapt. Instead, he developed a unique, creative, and uncompromising musical language. His music remains experimental to this day and defies any categorization. With five albums to his name and numerous collaborations with other artists, Flo Mega demonstrates a constant creative development. He is an artist,
who sees the diversity of perspectives as his true wealth and proves again and again that music has the power to connect and inspire people
SIXTYFIVE CADILLAC
SIXTYFIVE CADILLAC let their musical energies collide uninhibitedly on stage. The audience quickly realizes: this is no simple concert; this is high-performance sport, action, speed, harder, faster, wilder, and definitely not for the faint of heart. This is the hottest blues band east of Chicago and this side of the Urals: SIXTYFIVE CADILLAC with their high-energy soul show, the North German live miracle.
Big Band Walle
Big Band Walle celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. The band kicks off the new year with a fresh and new program, "...and no end in sight." The new program is as diverse as ever. A rousing mix of swing, Latin, funk, and soul, all the way to cool jazz. Energetic and dynamic, with captivating vocal arrangements, performed by the wonderful singer Diethra Bishop and conducted by Christian Bunge.
