HOEG City Summer Festival
The fourth HOEG City Summer Festival was a resounding success! We look back on three days full of festival atmosphere in Bremen City. Around the Market Square, Domshof, and other venues, it was once again a time to experience live music, culture, literature, and culinary delights right in the heart of the city at this unique inner-city open-air event.
What began in 2022 has long since established itself as an integral part of the North German festival summer. The event delights with a colorful mix of musical diversity, ranging from funk to folk, rock to singer-songwriter, cultural highlights, creative activities, and a special attitude to life!

Literature, street art and slacklining
Around the Badestuben fountain on Stavendamm and at the corner of Lange Wieren and Am Landherrnamt, the neighborhood became a stage for atmospheric readings that invite listeners to listen and marvel. Sometimes poetic, sometimes humorous, sometimes profound and with a local connection – the readings touched, surprised, and left room for dreams.
The Hanseatenhof became a colorful street art studio and the scene was literally bursting with creative ideas: live sketching and floor painting turned the city center into a canvas.
Throughout the HOEG City Summer Festival, slackliners could be admired as they daredevil high-altitude crossings took place above the market square and Domshof. Before each main act, a freestyle competition took place on the Domshof, in which two acrobats each challenged each other with tricks on two parallel lines.
